* SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT *

Family-117.jpg

Will you join us in prayer?

It’s been about 5 years since we last had a staff person in the SK area. Since then, we have stayed connected with several partners knowing that at some point God would open the doors for us to relaunch ministry in this community.

God has been faithful coming out of this pandemic with us being active in Bremerton, Central Kitsap, and North Kitsap during the 2021-22 year and meeting over 650 local teenagers!

God is on the move, and HOPE is rising! We believe that it is probably time for us to get back into the South Kitsap area. That’s why we need your prayers!

We want to share the initial vision we have for the area and what we believe could happen if we do this together!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

In prayer together,

Phil

DONATE

PHASE 1 = $100,000

PHASE 2 = $50,000

Please consider helping us bring Campus Life to Cedar Heights.

What's the plan?

We will start by putting a full-time Campus Life leader in the neighborhoods around Cedar Heights Middle School for the 2022-23 school year. We have a long history of service there, and that school could use more volunteers. The student population is approximately 800 students in grades 6-8. Our goal would be to get to know at least 150 of them.

There are several communities surrounding the site with more development actively happening.

  • Cedar Heights Apartments

  • Orchard Pointe Apartments

  • Heritage Apartments

  • Atlas Apartments

  • Orchard on the Green

Also, just down the road we have...

  • The Sidney Apartments

  • The Sinclair Apartments

  • 2 NEW Apartment Communities

  • AND...the massive growth we’ve seen in the McCormick Woods area!

The kids we meet the first few years at Cedar Heights will eventually become students at South Kitsap High School. And that will help us connect to students there!

What is Campus Life?

Campus Life leaders build relationships with young people at a local school. We seek to cultivate great moments of connection and community for young people.

Through a holistic approach Campus Life helps students as they wrestle with critical issues. Leaders help young people realize a Christ-centered life that provides balance mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

1. We start by meeting students.

2. We invite them to Club.

3. We build authentic relationships with them.

4. We host small group chats.

5. We meet students for individual appointments as needed.

6. We invite them to participate in trips and camps.

7. We work together with like-minded partners to go where kids are.

Pray for YFC

We need the right Campus Life leader, we need more connections, we need some funds, we need a minimum of 10 volunteers, we need a space, and we need a youth workers network in SK that will work together to reach over 150 kids!

Will you join us in prayer for these things?
